What are the 2026 AHSAA football schedules for Tuscaloosa teams?

The 2026 high school football season is coming in hot to shake things up in the Tuscaloosa area.

Local teams begin play Aug. 20-22, with the regular season running through Oct. 30. Region games will help determine playoff positioning before the AHSAA postseason begins in November. The AHSAA football championship games take place the first week of December.

This is the first year the AHSAA decision for a postseason public-private split will be implemented, bringing about big changes for local private schools like American Christian Academy, Tuscaloosa Academy, Holy Spirit Catholic and Pickens Academy.
