West Ham United are considering a fresh approach from Roma for winger Crysencio Summerville, according to Sky Sport Italy.
The Hammers have received a third offer from the Serie A side in their bid to prise him away from the London Stadium.
West Ham have already rejected two proposals from the Italian club during negotiations, but Roma refuse to give up on their pursuit of the Dutch attacker.
They have now returned with an improved bid and are awaiting a response from West Ham in the coming hours as they look to push the deal over the line.
Roma’s opening proposal was reportedly worth €46 million, but that failed to convince West Ham to part with the 24-year-old.
Summerville, who has been described as an ‘amazing‘ forward, bagged seven goals and five assists in 34 appearances last term.
A second offer was also knocked back, forcing the Serie A outfit to raise their valuation once again.
West Ham remain in control of the negotiations as Summerville does not have a release clause in his contract, meaning any transfer fee will need to be agreed between the two clubs.
Summerville has reportedly given the green light to a move to the Italian capital after being impressed by the sporting project presented by Roma.
That leaves West Ham with a major decision to make. He is regarded as an important attacking option, but an offer of around €50m could test the club’s resolve.
Roma are eager to strengthen out wide before the new season and have identified Summerville as one of their priority targets.
They are also monitoring other attacking options, but the West Ham winger remains firmly at the top of their shortlist.
Attention now turns to the Hammers, who must decide whether to cash in on one of their most exciting attacking talents or reject Roma for a third time.
