West Ham United striker Pablo Felipe is back in first-team training for the Hammers, according to ExWHUemployee. The reliable Hammers insider made the claim on X this evening after West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo said earlier in that day that the Brazilian is progressing well on his path to full fitness. It was revealed two weeks ago that Pablo was expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a calf problem. It appears he is closing in on his full fitness in a huge boost to West Ham as they look to hold on to their Premier League status at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old joined the London Stadium club in January from Gil Vicente in a €20 million deal. Pablo has missed the last five fixtures in all competitions due to the calf injury and West Ham could do with him sooner rather than later. The striker has yet to register a goal or assist in six appearances for the Hammers. However, his work rate has been very impressive and he has become popular with the West Ham fans due to his unrelenting tenacity on and off the ball.
Pablo bagged ten goals and one assist in 13 games in the Portuguese top-flight earlier this season before joining West Ham. He will fancy his chances of finding the back of net once he returns to the pitch in the coming weeks.
