West Ham agree deal for next summer signing as Nuno calls for further reinforcements
West Ham United have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Manor Solomon, with the winger in line to become their third summer signing.
The deal is believed to be worth a fixed £5m with a further £2 million in add-ons. The Israeli international will now complete a medical ahead of the move.
Solomon will arrive as West Ham’s third signing of the summer, following Keiber Lamadrid and Joel Veltman. After significant departures, including Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville for hefty fees, boss Nuno Espirito Santo still feels further reinforcements are required at the London Stadium.
The Hammers kicked off the new season on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup.
“Everybody is aware that we need players in the squad,” admitted the West Ham boss after the game. “We need to get things, but we are taking our time, so we are not making mistakes. But we are delighted with the way the players are working on a daily basis.
“Whoever comes in must bring us something different and improve us.
“I think we can afford some time, not too much. I will speak internally, and we are aware of that. But we are taking our time and nailing our decision is crucial for this.”
