Weird, this whole “off-day on Sunday” thing. Not sure I like it, but I guess the schedule makers must all bow down to the desires of the broadcast partners. In the absence of any real baseball, I figured we might as well get to know each other a bit better, what with the season being just about to get under way and all. So, consider this the official introduction thread, where we all say “Hello!” It’s like the awkward bit at the beginning of a class, where the teacher makes you stand up and say something about yourself, except with the advantage that you get to think about it a bit… Possible topics include:
- Where you are
- Why you are a Diamondbacks fan
- Memories of the team
- Favorite (and perhaps least-favorite!) player
- Other stadiums you’ve been to
- How you found the SnakePit
- Favorite baseball movies, food, superstitions, nicknames, or anything else!
Especially if you’re a lurker – and I know you are out there! – consider this your official invitation to come out of the woodwork and join the party! Put your coat in the corner, get yourself a cold beverage, and enjoy the snacks.
