August is almost here and that means so is the 2026 South Dakota high school fall sports season.
One of big highlights of the fall is football and that's why the weekly Watertown Public Opinion-Aberdeen News poll this week centers around the sport.
This week's poll asks our readers which one of the 16 northeastern and north central players who received all-state honors in 2025 is going to be have the best season in 2026?
We've listed not only the returning all-state players, but those who received honorable mention on the all-state teams.
Now it's your turn to vote. Voting will remain open until midnight on Sunday, Aug. 2.
Last week, we asked out readers to decide from a group of area volleyball teams the one that had the best shot to win state. The winner, according to the voters, was Estelline-Hendricks.
