31. Cardinals (4-9) The Cardinals probably would be in playoff contention had coach Dennis Green not benched QB Josh McCown and destroyed the offensive cohesion. Green should be stripped of his GM powers.

come on - the offensive cohesion that in it's previous three games up to that point had scored 14 points against Buffalo(7 on a last minute cheese TD), 17 points against the second worst team in the league and 17 points against what now seems to be THE worst team in the league.

The scheudle got tougher - we started to lose - than we put back in the
"savior" AND still lost to the WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL.

We had plenty of offensive cohesion. Our OL worked together as if they were one to allow opposing teams to sack the QB and stuff the run in the backfield. Our wide revievers pulling together to make sure no one stood out by getting open was a sign of solidarity. On the occasions that a lineman would accidentally block someone our runningbacks would cover for him by running straight in to a defender.

They've reached the pineapple of success. Losing twice in OT to the worst team in football.

You guys can yuk it up all you want, but the team was 4-5 with said "offensive cohesion". Since then, after Denny's changes which you all cheered immensely, they're 0-4.

So go ahead all you football geniuses...make fun of the fact that while winning ugly, at least the team was WINNING!

The QB issue is the least of it as far as I am concerned.

Do I really hold Green accountable for this teams losses?

Not this year to a large extent.

Do I really think Green can coach?

Yes I do.


What I don't like is that our team plays sloppy and that we can't execute for *&@&

That isn't a good sign at all.

I'd understand certain plays not working but all the penalties and mental errors go to coaching.

It's everywhere, on special teams, tackling, blocking, catching, running, throwing.

We paid Green a lot of jack and that's supposed to mean that when he got here all that stuff stopped and we would still lose due to being deficient in talent but at least we would look organized and efficient doing it.

We look as bad as ever and that's not what I think Bidwill signed up for. Green isn't going to be fired and shouldn't be but I am not very happy with his first years effort.

It was winning ugly against TWO OF THE THREE WORST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE (Miami and NY) - if you're winning ugly against the drek of the league - do you really expect them to win at all against GOOD-MEDIOCRE TEAMS - 2 OF WHICH WERE ON THE ROAD?!

No - the schedule got tougher - we lost ball games - and then we went back to the guy who was "winning" game for us and then promptly LOST TO THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL - AGAIN.

I never said a team with a winning record, I said a team that was winning. 4-5 after an 0-3 start shows me a team tha shook of some growing pains and was starting to "get it"...i.e. a team that was winning.

And cheese, who gives a crap who the wins come against? You play the teams on your schedule in the order the league schedules them. Whether they're great, like the Patriots, or crappy like the Giants and Dolphins, it doesn't matter. They all count as "W"s in the standings. Do you not agree that in order to win consistently, a team needs continuity? Switching QBs after winning 4 of the previous 6 games, does not breed continuity.

If teams need continuity to win why do the Cards keep losing to teams playing backup QB's while giving up 100+ rushing yards to 2nd and 3rd string RB's. Other teams have no problem beating Arizona consistently without any "continuity".

It just doesn't apply to the Cards. The Cards came off a rout of New Orleans at home and promptly lost to the 49ers, and followed up a home win against division favorite Seattle by getting blown out by Buffalo. With no change at QB.

Then they beat Miami and the Giants and people start talking about how they were "winning" and on their way to competing for the playoffs when Green made the QB change against Carolina and "ruined" everything. Conveniently forgetting the earlier post win flops against the 49ers and Bills.

The Cards were 21-43 from '99 to '02 with the same QB every year. They had continuity at QB last season and were one lucky catch away from being the worst team in the NFL.

It's just same ol' Cardinal football. Hopefully it will change someday soon.
