We should have Adrian Peterson?

no.

We just saw what happens to AP when he isn't going behind an All-Pro line. 1.5 YPC

Meanwhile, the never-respected Levi Brown gave up zero sacks and very little pressure from his side while all of the help (patrick, hightower) were always on Bridges side.

I still think had we drafted A.P he would have gone on to JJ Arrington's level of success in Arizona.

Last night clearly showed he is human behind a less than stellar O-line.

With our CURRENT O-line he would look good, but no where near the numbers he's had with Min.

And careers are best defined when they are completed, not while they are in progress.

I'm just sayin' ;)
Fair enough. We'll revisit in 10 years and see where Levi Brown and Adrian Peterson are in the eyes of the NFL faithful.

Just ridiculous. Obviously nobody can predict the future, but I would say there is a much greater chance we'll regret passing on AP than not. Peterson is definitely on pace to be a hall of famer, and possibly one of the all time greats.

What are the criteria for comparison?

Levi has been to one more Super Bowl than Adrian... :D

if AP had a good game against us all you AP lovers would have come out with this so don't even act like I'm pulling this out of nowhere people.

and yes, we have Beanie, and i would rather have him with a better line. good point.

Let's be real here, we should have drafted Darrelle Revis or Patrick Willis. Good RB's are a dime dozen, AP is much more than a "good" RB, but we are all aware that defense wins championships. DRC + Revis = amazing.

There are about 500 people I would have drafted in front of Levi at this point.

BTW, I'm thrilled the Cardinals completely shut down one of the very best young RBs in the NFL today, lest I be chastised for rooting for someone I wasn't.

Thank you for the smiley, otherwise I might have thought you believe we went to the SB because of Brown instead of despite him.

To suggest that Levi was a liability during our SB run is a silly exaggeration.

This is stupid, you are stupid for making this thread sir. Levi is average at best, AP probably wouldnt be as good if he wasnt behind that line but by no means is the line the only reason he is good. There is no question he is top 3 RB at worst...

so, to reverse that, you're saying JJ Arrington would have had AP's level of success had Minny drafted him .

Willis was too high at #5 coming off injury (only hand/wrist) but still. No way we draft Revis and then DRC back to back anyway.
