In 2012 Keim was named Director of Player Personnel. The Cards went 5-11. They did have 3 successful years after that. The key was a once in a lifetime fluke. Arians, who was the 2012 Coach of the Year when he replaced an ill Chuck Pagano, was available in 2013 and hired. How often do you get a chance to hire the reigning Coach of the Year? Keim does get credit for trading for Palmer. Arians faded after that Keim hired Wilks and Kingsbury. He drafted Murray. I give the Cards’ success to Arians, not Keim or Kingsbury. I can’t believe you mentioned Graves. In his first 3 years the Cards his most wins were 5. In 10 years he had 2 winning records. Both with Warner. The Super Bowl year was 9-7. You can make a fairly good argument that Warner was brought in more to mentor Leinart than lead the Cards to a Super Bowl. Graves was widely regarded as a GM failure, again never having a winning record after Warner resigned.
You don’t like the response so you posted this word salad.

Graves was GM for the Super Bowl run.
Keim hired Arians.

Sorry that doesn’t confirm your priors. Sad that you can’t modify your position in the face of compelling evidence. It must be hard living that way.

Monti's draft picks have combined for 5.5 sacks this season. He has drafted 4 front 7 players in the first 3 rounds since he has been here, including 2 in the first round. That's not good.
Ooh now do interceptions with his defensive backs

None of this matters. It’s pointless.

You just unlocked the secret of life. The next secret is to fill your time with as much pointless stuff as possible. That's why talking football is sacrosanct. And whatever else that moves to one's groove.

Keim was NFL Executive of the year twice. Monti has won more than 3 games once. We should be elated to get a GM with Keim's early success.

Keim’s early success named Arians & Palmer. Graves’ named Warner, who didn’t need a great coach.

He hired Arians. Monti hired Gannon and cost the team a draft pick in doing so.
But look at the bad people they hired. Even a blind pig occasionally finds an acorn. Sometimes you just get lucky. It like a science experiment. You have to replicate the result to be a valid determination

Cool but those successes actually happened and had downstream results in the form of wins, fun play, etc, etc.

Monti hasn’t selected a single pro bowler. Theres no standard he’s failed to rise to.

And yet Monti has yet to sniff out a truffle. In fact, we’ve been noticeably unlucky during his tenure.

In a competitive industry, sometimes you don’t have to be incompetent to lose your job. Sometimes you’re just in the wrong place at the wrong time and can’t produce results.

Michael just can’t accept this level of losing. How can Gannon at this point say he understands what winning behaviors even are?

Don't forget Monti's participation in all of the TEN failures during his tenure there too!

I was really pulling for Ossenfort. Truly. And I thought his overall approach was sound.

But there is a mountain of empirical evidence that suggests he has performed very, very poorly during his three years as Cardinals' GM.

It's unacceptable.
