CEDAR SPRINGS — While it feels like ages ago now, there was a point during this current Division 4 postseason run for the Harbor Springs girls soccer team where it looked like things would end in districts.

It took a goal with 3:30 left on the clock by Harbor’s Stefi Reskevics to lift the Rams to a 3-2 district championship victory over Elk Rapids.

Reskevics again delivered in the regional semifinal, scoring on a penalty kick inside the game’s final minutes in a 1-0 win over Midland Calvary Christian.

But, if you thought those were close calls, Reskevics had another in store Tuesday, June 9 when the Rams took on Kalamazoo Christian in the Division 4 state semifinals.

Reskevics settled a great ball from teammate Lilly Barnadyn, then delivered the game-winner against the Comets with just 2 seconds remaining in the contest, lifting Harbor to the state championships.
