Though Ohio State has no doubt put forth its best foot and created a good impression for Marvin Harrison Jr.'s little brother, Jett -- one of the best receivers in the 2028 class -- getting a commitment so early was a bit unexpected when it came on Wednesday. Welcomed, but unexpected by Buckeye Nation.
As it stands, Harrison is a 5-star prospect who has continued to rise up the recruiting services' rankings and is now the No. 2 receiver in the class and fourth overall recruit in the 2028 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. If it's possible, he might end up being even better than his big brother, who was a two-time unanimous All-American, Biltenikoff winner, and first-round NFL draft pick.
There are still a couple of years of prep school to go before Harrison dons the Scarlet and Gray, but we like to take a look at the highlights that some of the Ohio State commitments so coveted. And so it is here. Thanks to HUDL, we've got some film of Harrison and what he did last fall at St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia.
Even at an early age, Harrison's ability to go up and catch the ball in traffic, his route-running skills, and his ability after the catch are obvious. It should be fun to see how he continues to develop and what he'll bring to the banks of the Olentangy beginning in 2028.
