It’s time for another one of our weekly Madden 26 simulations, where we preview the Detroit Lions’ upcoming game by seeing what the iconic video game series spits out. In short, we adjust the lineups of each team in Madden based on the most recent injury report, select which uniforms we want each team to wear, and then we watch the computer face off against the computer, all while I provide live commentary.

“How good is Madden at predicting the actual outcome?”

Terrible, but we have fun anyways.

This year, Madden has correctly predicted the winner six out of 10 times. To be fair, that’s actually better than I’ve done this year, but some of their predictions have been wildly off (see the Commanders and Bengals games). Here’s a look at the week-by-week predictions matched with the actual results. If you care to watch any of the previous Madden simulation streams, they are linked in the score.

Week 1 at Packers

• Madden score: 16-13 Packers
• Actual score: 27-13 Packers

Week 2 vs. Bears

• Madden score: 21-15 Lions
• Actual score: 52-21 Lions

Week 3 at Ravens

• Madden score: 24-14 Ravens
• Actual score: 38-30 Lions

Week 4 vs. Browns:

• Madden score: 33-3 Lions
• Actual score: 34-10 Lions

Week 5 vs. Bengals:

• Madden score: 24-22 Bengals
• Actual score: 37-24 Lions

Week 6 vs. Chiefs

• Madden score: 34-30 Chiefs

Week 7 vs. Buccaneers

• Madden score: 31-28 Lions
