“Why?” Bears’ QB Caleb Williams Shows Nail Polish On Madden 27 Cover (Look)

Chicago Bears‘ quarterback Caleb Williams was selected as the Madden 27 cover athlete. The decision came after he led the Bears to an 11-6 record in 2025 and won the NFC North for the first time since the 2018 season. Williams had multiple signature moments in 2025 as he led numerous late game comebacks.


However, the photo he chose for the Madden Cover has come under some scrutiny.

As his painted finger nails are on full display, fans had a lot to say:

• Has there ever been a less deserving cover athlete? Serious question.
• Madden curse incoming. Already the toughest schedule in the league. Indiana Bears missing the playoffs, confirmed.
• Yeah let’s stick with this cover art over the other one
• They missed the greatest chance to show off Hammond. I would say do better EA, but we know they can’t.
• Madden cover used to actually mean something.
• “Fingernails painted on Madden. Young boys look up to you bro smh n Caleb Williams this is the example u set for them. Players should grab you n the locker room n call u Carey every time u they see u !! u want respect from your teammates n your hands look like they nails at home smh who ever thought u would see this on a Madden cover.
