Jared Verse is the type of person who could be mic’d up for anything and still provide entertainment value.
Laundry? “Look at that fold! Nobody folds a shirt like I do! Especially not Fiske.”
Doing the dishes? “Man, I guarantee Fiske has never gotten a dish this clean!”
During a game against the 76ers this season, the Lakers had Verse mic’d up while sitting courtside and his commentary was about what you’d expect. He went nuts from his seat every time LeBron threw one down or Luka hit a step-back jumper.
He even got a cold stare from James.
“It’s like the gaze of a lion, bro. You can feel the aura, bro. Am I the best person in this building now that LeBron looked at me?” he asked.
Verse was sitting courtside with former Lakers world champion and All-Star A.C. Green, talking about the differences between playing in the NBA and the NFL, as well as his aspirations to become one of the great ones in L.A.
