The two demonstration squadrons flew a Super Delta formation above the South Lawn. President Donald Trump saluted from the south portico. UFC CEP Dana White stood beside him.

The flyover capped a weekend of military spectacle tied to the event which doubled as Trump's 80th birthday and a kickoff to the nation's 250th anniversary. The Golden Knights parachute team, marine drill platoons and Nitro Circus stunt riders all performed in the days leading up to the fights.

Commentator Joe Rogan, taking in the scene said it was the most surreal thing he had seen.

Weather pushed back the night's card about an hour, with the first fight set for 9 p.m. ET. The night was headlined by lightweight champion Ilia Topuria against interim champ Justin Gaethje.
