Leandro Trossard and Belgium were dominant in a 5-1 victory over New Zealand in the final group stage game for both teams.

Belgium will move on to the next round of the tournament, the round of 32, after the victory helped it secure the top spot in its group.

Trossard scored a pair of goals, including the first goal in the 28th minute and again in the 50th minute.

Kevin De Bruyne followed up the pair of goals by Trossard by adding another Belgium goal for a 3-0 lead in the 66th minute.

Romelu Lukaku became Belgium's all-time top World Cup goal scorer after scoring in the 86th minute. He scored on a header that helped put the game out of reach.

Alexis Saelemaekers added to the total in stoppage time for the county's fifth goal of the evening.
