The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots are currently doing a joint practice, an exciting thing that happens throughout the preseason around the NFL.

These practices allow teams to get a look at other offenses and defenses, which gives us a nice indication about how things might look in the early stages of training camp.

For the Colts and Patriots, this is an excellent time to see New England's offense go up against one of the better defenses in the NFL.

Specifically, superstar wide receiver AJ Brown, who the Patriots landed in an offseason trade, had an opportunity to go one-on-one against Colts superstar cornerback Sauce Gardner.

While it's training camp, it's a promising sign that Brown is moving like this. If he continues to be the type of player that everybody expects him to be, the Patriots' offense will be better than it was a season ago.

There are obviously some other factors here, but the fact that New England has a true WR1 for Drake Maye makes this as exciting as anything else.

Going up against one of the best corners in the NFL and shaking him like this early on is a promising sign.
