The Washington Huskies have been in the mix for some of the nation's best running backs in the 2027 class for a long time, and on Monday afternoon, one of their top targets placed them in his final six.
Newly minted four-star running back Dajon Talley-Rhodes of St. John's College Prep cut down his list of 20 offers and is considering the Huskies alongside Boston College and a handful of other Big Ten programs: Indiana, Michigan State, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
The 6-foot, 213-pound prospect is a late addition to most rankings, but is now sitting as the nation's No. 388 overall prospect and No. 30 running back in the 247Sports Composite, as well as the No. 1 player in Washington, D.C. He has also been a priority target for position coach Scottie Graham for a long time, who has taken several trips to the East Coast for in-home and in-school visits with the talented ball carrier.
The Huskies had invited Talley-Rhodes to their Junior Day weekend; however, he wound up not making the trip. The only running back in Seattle for the weekend was four-star Jeremy Adeyanju, as it appears Washington may only have room for one running back in the 2027 class.
Adeyanju and four-star Elijah Kimble, who was also originally slated to be on campus over the weekend, have both set official visits to Seattle for May 29, while Jedd Fisch and his staff have yet to schedule an official visit with Talley-Rhodes.
As Washington's 2027 class continues to take shape, Talley-Rhodes, who shows off great contact balance and vision on film, along with good speed for a player of his size, would be a strong addition to the room if Graham is able to secure his services.
