Holy crap. 12 3's. Greatest shooter of all time. It's highly questionable if they are going to be able to field a good enough team before Curry is done but man...what a career.

Interesting to see how they come out in this game. Will Book have more than 6 points in the first quarter?

I think they'll give Green more time. I will be shocked if he plays in 2025.

I'll take an early birthday present and see Green return on January 2nd against the Kings.

I'm only looking at a projected return time frame. I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns don't keep Green out until after the year turns over.

Duane Rankin gives an injury update.

Devin Booker seems to be doing good. Progress with Isaiah Livers is up and down. Jalen Green is around but was in street clothes at the time of the report. Green is still in the Christmas time frame.

This season is sad to watch he's just back from a clear injury and has 39 and 48 in his first 2 games, both losses. He missed a layup that would have put them up 1 but he had to beat 3 guys off the dribble to get there and he's still getting his legs back so he just didn't elevate enough and missed it. Even down 3 he had a chance but bad pass turnover. He's having his worst defensive year ever, the Blazers picked on him all game but he's still amazing and they're wasting him.

They're too small, Butler playing the 4 hasn't worked nearly as well this year. Melton has been pretty good since coming back but since Kerr benched Kuminga they are so small it's just very difficult to win. Even with Post coming out of nowhere to be a surprisingly good defender, they're just too small.

They need another 5 to play when Post isn't in, someone like Gafford or Claxton, just not clear anybody that has such a player wants either Kuminga or Podz, or even both. They don't need another Butler level trade but they need to add one more guy either another 5 to platoon with Post, or a really good shooter so when Draymond is the 5, they have someone on the court that can make 3's. Hield is totally washed.

How about the Suns trade the Warriors Nick Richards for a couple of second round picks.

The small ball lineup has killed them defensively. That's why I am so thankful to our size this season. It's also why I am not for trading Richards until we know Williams is sturdy. He is not even playing back to backs yet. Once he can do that on a regular basis I would be good with it. I am just thankful when we do play small it's only in spurts or our defense would look much like that team.

They are actually 5th in defensive rating, I still haven't figured out how. If I had to guess I would say when curry was out their defensive rating got better. Post has been a huge surprise on defense, last year he was a 3 point shooter that didn't protect the rim, this year he's a top 5 defensive rating kid and has the highest plus minus on the team at + 118. Curry is only + 17. Not that I'm in any way blaming Curry he's remarkable at his age how good he is, but his defense has fallen off a cliff the last 2 years and with the overall lack of size it's a huge issue. When teams screen to get Curry on a certain player the Warriors have to help and that leads to a ton of dunks or wide open 3's as a result.

My guess is the Suns will do the exact same thing, get him switched onto Booker, take him and force the Warriors to help.

That is interesting. In fact, I have not looked at stats in weeks. I just noticed that the Suns are the 5th worst team in the NBA when it comes to turnovers. We are also one of the worst teams with allowing points off of turnovers.

That is shocking as well. I know we had some bad turnover games but I didn't realize it was that bad. I am so focused on all the good things they do and the toughness I guess I didn't realize. Only the Rockets, Jazz, Wizards and Blazers turn it over more.

Yikes! If this team could somehow break into the top half of those categories? This team would be super dangerous.

Sure hope to see some screens to take advantage of Curry on offense, but not sure how much our system is based on taking advantage of mismatches. We need a good game soon, someone has to hit 20+ like Allen, Royce or Collin.
