OKLAHOMA CITY - Golden State Warriors guard Seth Curry wasn't quite ready to return to the lineup Saturday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Perhaps he'll play Monday or Tuesday instead.
Curry is poised to play for the Warriors for the first time since Dec. 4 next week, having missed three months with sciatica, head coach Steve Kerr said pregame. Curry was considered questionable to play Saturday against Oklahoma City but was scratched pregame with the hope he'll play next week.
Golden State's three game-trip concludes Monday against the Utah Jazz with a Tuesday matchup at Chase Center looming against the Chicago Bulls. Curry conducted an on-court workout Thursday before the Warriors beat the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. He's also participated in recent scrimmages with Golden State, Kerr confirmed.
Curry has been limited to two games and 32 minutes this season, his 12th in the NBA and first with the Warriors.
"Seems like he's very close," Kerr said. "We'll have to see how he responds in the next couple days."
Kerr didn't have a status update on Moses Moody, who missed his second consecutive game with the right wrist sprain suffered Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Kerr didn't have a timetable for the starting swingman's return to the rotation.
De'Anthony Melton (left knee management) was ruled out despite a questionable designation, but Kerr is hopeful he'll play Monday against the Jazz. Will Richard (right ankle sprain) missed his third straight game.
