The Golden State Warriors selected Yaxel Lendeborg with the No. 11 overall pick after being heavily linked to the former Michigan forward throughout the pre-draft process.

Following the selection, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. raved about Lendeborg's talent, sounding excited for his future in Golden State. “There’s basically never been a player this good at his age,” said Dunleavy Jr.

Last season for the Wolverines, Lendeborg led them to a national championship, averaging 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals. At 6'9" with a 7'3" wingspan, Lendeborg will wreak havoc on the defensive end for Golden State, being able to switch on to both bigger and smaller opponents with his speed and strength. His shooting numbers weren't bad either, shooting over 51% from the field and 37% from 3-point range last season. With lots of work left to do in free agency, Golden State should be happy to have filled one of their biggest needs on draft night.
