The rise of Pat Spencer has been one of the pleasant surprises of the Golden State Warriors in the 2025-26 NBA season. The two-way guard out of Northwestern is averaging six points on 42.8% shooting from the field and a career-best 42.9% from beyond the arc to go along with three asissts and 2.2 rebounds per game.
Spencer has scored 15 or more points four times this season, including a 20-point effort to lead the Warriors to a comeback win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
With a pair of roster spots open after the trade deadline, the Warriors are set to reward Spencer for his solid play.
On Saturday, the Warriors converted Spencer's two-way contract to a standard NBA deal.

Since going undrafted out of Northwestern in 2020, SPencer has spent three seasons with the Warriors. In 82 games over three years, Spencer has averaged 3.9 points on 42.1% shooting from the field with two assists and 1.6 rebounds in 10 minutes per game.
After trading Jonathan Kuminga, Buddy Hield and Trayce Jackson-Davis at the deadline, the Warriors will still have an open roster spot and a new two-way slot following the addition of Spencer to a standard NBA contract.
