Wan'Dale Robinson, the former New York Giants wide receiver, signed a deal with the Tennessee Titans in free agency, turning down a potential return to New York.
The decision came down to the final two teams: The Giants and the Titans.
In explaining his choice, Robinson pointed to two main factors. First, the location in Nashville brings him closer to his home in Kentucky.
"I'm from Kentucky and it's closer to home for me and it’s a place I just felt like was kind of a perfect fit for me it was just kind of a new staff, new everything, obviously Dabes [Brian Daboll] was an added bonus but thought about going back to New York and there was some other teams on the table but ultimately it was between Tennessee or New York," he told reporters this week.
Second, Robinson sought consistency at the quarterback position after years of instability.
"For a lot of my career, I haven't had that one guy back there playing quarterback. It'll be nice to know that we got our guy," Robinson said.
The signing also reunites him with Brian Daboll, who was his head coach with the Giants and is now the Titans' offensive coordinator. Robinson has called Daboll his favorite coach ever.
This combination of proximity to family, quarterback stability, and a trusted coach proved decisive for the 25-year-old second-round pick. Robinson's departure is a setback for the Giants, who were close to retaining the productive slot receiver from his standout 2025 campaign, where he recorded 92 receptions, 1,014 yards, and four touchdowns.
