I think this was in like 20-25 snaps too.
The difference between a good player and a star player...when you absolutely gotta have a play, like right damn now...a star is going to make a play for you more often than not...
Nolen sparked the victory...Dallas was mounting a comeback...our defenders were letting doubt creep in....then Walter Nolen blasted through the line for a huge sack...the energy from that led Cody Simon to strip the ball moments later,...and the game was won.

I really love that the series of huge plays at the end to win it for us was basically all rookies making crap happen.

Those guys don't know about pottsville..don't know about no curse...don't know about decades of failure.
They only know they had a five game losing streak where every game was 5 points from being a win...and they know they pulled together to snap that streak.

That interior penetrator. We knew last year that we needed it.
Monday Night Football showed us what we have been missing.

exceeded my expectations for game one

usually interior guys have impacts you dont always see

but: sack, tackle for loss (in a goal to go situation), batted pass, a pressure

thats pretty good for 37 snaps against an above average offensive line

The last rookie making that kind of impact for their first game for us was Q.

Dude was a force out there and my favorite play wasn’t even a sack or TFL. It was a play where he got pressure early but Dak got the pass away underneath to 88, who made something out of nothing making dudes miss and looked like he was about to do more until Nolen came from the backfield, tracked down the play and blasted him to keep him from getting the first. That kinda never give up on the play is what you need from your stars. That’s what a DAWG does. Every damn play.

Loved watching him tonight.
He also helped him up after the play. What a nice guy.

Which was the kind of play he made in every single game I saw him play in college. And, I saw all of the A&M games and most of the Ole Miss games. Yet, he somehow got the reputation as lazy from some. He NEVER played that way.

i think i remember nolen saying the cardinals were the first club to directly ask him about the rumors and actually listen to what he had to say - something like that

Didn't see any of his college games but when word leaked that Howie Roseman was trying to trade up for him I figured it might be a good pick.

I had all but given up on the season but the play of Nolen last night, plus Will and some other guys gave me a reason to keep watching.

Really nice to have someone who can just flat beat the guy in front of him and wreck a play.
