This is part of a continuing summer series previewing the 2026 Arizona high school football season. The Republic has broken down the top 10 quarterbacks, athletes and running backs. This week, we break down the top 10 wide receivers.
There are so many great receivers in this state that it was hard to cut it to 10. Two of them -- Jai Jones and Kingston Anetema -- are part of the top 10 athletes list as two-way players, but they both are undoubtedly among the top 10 receivers. Vote in our poll below for the player you think is the top receiver entering the 2026 season. Print readers can find the poll online with this story at azcentral.com/sports/high-schools.
1. Roye Oliver III, Hamilton, 5-11, 165, Sr.
He reclassified from a junior to a senior for 2026-27. Coming off such an incredible sophomore season, it's easy to see why he can't wait to get to USC. Oliver has all the tools to someday be an NFL wide receiver. Greate speed, electric moves, catches everything.
2. Jai Jones, Chandler, 6-2, 175, Sr.
Jones has committed to Wisconsin. He's got the quickness and great burst to get away from cornerbacks and make big plays downfield. He's quarterback Will Mencl's favorite receiver with his ability to make plays after catches.
3. Kingston Anetema, Mesa, 6-1, 175, Sr.
Recently committed to Arizona State, he'll be playing wide receiver at the next level with the way he goes after the ball and is hard to bring down in open space.
4. Dontay Tyson, Peoria, 6-3, 190, Sr.
He's a talented two-way player but Division I colleges want him as a wide receiver. He brings elements of speed and physicality that makes him a tough matchup for corners and safeties.
5. Zerek Sidney, Desert Edge, 6-0, 185, Sr.
An injury derailed his junior season but he's back in great shape and ready to have a major breakout season with Blake Roskopf spinning spirals to him.
6. Jaden Baldwin, Basha, 6-0, 180, Sr.
He might be the fastest wide receiver in the state. He has run 100 meters in 10.64 seconds and 40 yards in 4.4 seconds. He's an electric receiver; it's easy to see why Pittsburgh fans are excited that he committed there.
7. Trey Smith, Williams Field, 6-0, 170
Another elite speedster with great hands. He takes the top off the secondary with his speed and elusive moves.
8. Donovan McNabb Jr., Brophy Prep, 5-10, 165, Sr.
It's his turn to star at Brophy with receivers Devin Fitzgerald and Daylen Sharper both graduated. He's got a chance to put up huge numbers this year.
9. Sean Roebuck, Marana, 6-1, 180, Sr.
Electric route runner cut in the same mold as his older brother Dezmen, who was The Arizona Republic Offensive Player of the Year two seasons ago. Sean cuts on a dime and takes the short passes to the end zone with his sudden bursts of speed.
10. Braxton Huynh, Liberty, 5-11, 185, Sr.
This San Diego State commit is ready to surpass his sophomore season numbers, in which he had 65 catches for 1,094 yards and 11 touchdowns. Since his junior year, he's gotten faster, stronger and more determined.
