Another season of Wilmington high school football is right around the corner as the 2026 North Carolina season kicks off Friday, Aug. 21.
While the regular season is just a month away, teams can begin their first official practices July 30. The Wilmington-area has plenty of returning stars on the gridiron, including the wide receiver position, which is poised to excite in 2026.
After analyzing five of the area's top athletes at the wideout position, it's time for the fans to get involved and vote for the 2026 Wilmington-area High School Football Preseason Wide Receiver of the Year.
