Here's a chance to cast your votes for the Upstate's best high school boys soccer player in 2026. Multiple votes are allowed and the poll will be open until 5 p.m. on June 25.

We've narrowed the list of candidates down to three:

Smith Darby, J.L. Mann, senior

Darby, who won the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2025, had 14 goals in 12 games and was named to the Clash of the Carolinas all-star game featuring the best of South Carolina against the best of North Carolina. For his career, Darby had 77 goals and 182 points. J.L. Mann went 19-5, including 11-3 in Region 1-5A.

Brody Pike, Powdersville, senior

Pike was the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year after leading Powdersville (27-1) to a second consecutive SCHSL Class 3A state championship, scoring five goals with an assist in the 6-1 title game win against Oceanside Collegiate. Pike, a UAB signee, scored 39 goals and had 21 assists, 4.3 points per game. Pike scored 102 goals in his career.

Erik Martinez, Southside, senior

Martinez led Southside to its first state championship, scoring 31 goals as the Tigers went 18-1. He scored two goals in the 4-1 win against Gray Collegiate in the SCHSL Class 4A title game. Martinez made the North-South all-star game and scored a goal in a 1-1 final. He signed with Spartanburg Methodist College.
