The Varsity 845 girls basketball players of the week polls are online for Feb. 2-8 and Feb. 9-15 - two polls for large schools and two for small schools. Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845 and nominations. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.

One athlete per school is allowed per week. The week’s winner will have to sit out the next poll. The athletes hail from Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties.

For the Jan. 26-Feb. 1 poll, Jayden Ferguson of Middletown and Ella Herbert of Sullivan West won the large- and small-school polls. Ferguson topped Destiny Bolding of Pine Bush and Kallie McCoy of Newburgh; Herbert beat Leah Ladenhauf of Rockland and Avery Carrier of Tri-Valley.

She posted 26 points and five steals in the Goldbacks’ 43-36 win over Middletown on Feb. 13.

Ava Burton, Minisink Valley​


She scored 18 points as the Warriors downed Port Jervis 38-34 on Feb. 11. She added 14 points in a 46-40 win over Goshen on Feb. 13.

Maeve Doody, Goshen​


She had 16 points in a 46-40 loss to Minisink Valley on Feb. 13.

Tori Fall, Kingston​


She had 16 points in the Tigers’ 65-45 win over Poughkeepsie on Feb. 12.

Reese Girardi, Warwick​


She had 14 points in the Wildcats’ 62-13 win over Monticello on Feb. 13.

Mikayla Thomas, Middletown​


She scored 12 points as the Bears beat Beacon 40-22 on Feb. 9. She added 11 points in a 43-36 loss to Newburgh on Feb. 13.

She had seven points in a 62-13 loss to Warwick on Feb. 13.

She had 14 points in the Wizards’ 50-32 loss to Newburgh on Feb. 3. She added 19 points in a 48-40 loss to Middletown on Feb. 2.

Morgan Hutchins, Monticello​


She scored eight points in the Panthers’ 37-22 loss to Burke on Feb. 3.

Giselle Johnson, Valley Central​


She scored 25 points as the Vikings nipped Monroe-Woodbury 59-55 in overtime on Feb. 7. She added 30 points and 13 rebounds in a 47-36 win over Goshen on Feb. 3.

Kallie McCoy, Newburgh​


She scored 18 points as the Goldbacks downed Pine Bush 67-44 on Feb. 5. She added 14 points in a 50-32 loss to Washingtonville on Feb. 3.

Isaiah Ramirez, Middletown​


She scored 11 points as the Bears lost to Kington 44-40 on Feb. 5. She added 10 points in a 47-36 loss to Valley Central on Feb. 3.

Jayda Reaves, Goshen​


She scored 11 points in the Gladiators’ 57-30 loss to Warwick on Feb.. 5.

Emily Romig, Warwick​


She scored 13 points as the Wildcats topped Goshen 57-30 on Feb. 5.

Mya Watson, Pine Bush​


She scored 22 points in the Bushmen’s 67-44 loss to Newburgh on Feb. 5.

She posted 18 points as the Raiders lost to Burke 44-39 in overtime on Feb. 9.

She had 10 points in the Wolves’ 55-33 loss to Seward on Feb. 12.

She scored 36 points as the Ganders nipped New Paltz 50-48 on Feb. 10.

She had nine points as the Bulldogs nipped Burke 34-33 on Feb. 11.

She scored 19 points as the Eagles slipped past O’Neill 44-39 in overtime on Feb. 9. She added six points in a 34-33 loss to Sullivan West on Feb. 11. She had seven points in a 34-30 loss to Tri-Valley on Feb. 13.

Mia Leeper, Port Jervis​


She had 14 points and three assists as the Raiders lost to Minisink Valley 38-34 on Feb. 11.

Callie Meyer, New Paltz​


She posted 14 points, 12 rebounds and four steals as the Huguenots lost to Rondout Valley 50-48 on Feb. 10. She added 18 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in a 42-33 win over Spackenkill on Feb. 11. She had eight points and 13 boards in a 44-16 loss to Red Hook on Feb. 13.

Giselle Payton, Liberty​


She scored 12 points as Liberty nipped Fallsburg 31-29 on Feb. 9. She added 20 points in a 43-31 win over Chester on Feb. 13.

Victoria Ryman, Eldred​


She had 10 points as the Yellowjackets lost to Seward 47-33 on Feb. 11.

Sophia Somerstein, Onteora​


She had nine points in a 34-29 setback to Millbrook on Feb. 12.

Kayla Valenti, S.S. Seward​


She scored 23 points as the Spartans downed Eldred 47-33 on Feb. 11. The next day she had 30 points (surpassing 1,000 points) in a 55-33 win over Rockland.

She scored 15 points in the Raiders’ 47-34 win over Fallsburg on Feb. 5.

Erin Kothe, Onteora​


She posted 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Eagles downed Catskill 45-28 on Feb. 7. She added 12 points in a 46-15 win ovet Dover on Feb. 3.

Bella Morales, New Paltz​


She had 14 points in the Huguenots’ 56-55 loss to Marlboro on Feb. 6. She had 20 points in a 53-33 win over Rhinebeck on Feb. 2.

Zia O’Hene, Chester​


She posted seven points, nine rebounds and three steals in the Hambletonians’ 55-37 loss to Beacon on Feb. 5.

Adrianna Ponce, Liberty​


She scored nine points in a 56-18 loss to Tri-Valley on Feb. 2.

Sienna Sauer, Saugerties​


She had 17 points in the Sawyers’ 67-33 loss to Lourdes on Feb. 6.

Lauren Scheuermann, S.S. Seward​


She scored 12 points as the Spartans downed Millbrook 48-35 on Feb. 6.

Joslyn Smith, Fallsburg​


She scored 23 points as the Comets bowed to Port Jervis 47-34 on Feb. 5.
