The Varsity 845 boys track and field athletes of the week poll is online for April 13-19. Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845 and nominations. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon. The poll is open to Orange, Ulster and Sullivan county athletes.

One athlete per school per track and per field is allowed per week.

Varsity 845 boys track athlete of the week (April 13-19)​

Pablo Abdelsayed, Valley Central​


The senior won the 800 meters in 1:58.37 at the Trotters Carnival on April 18, ranking No. 18 in the state.

Robert Admirand, Washingtonville​


The junior was runner-up at 800 meters in 1:58.88 at the Trotters Carnival on April 18, ranking No. 20 in the state.

Nate Diemoz, Wallkill​


The junior won the 800 meters in 1:57.48 at the Gander Invitational on April 17, ranking No. 12 in the state. At same meet, he won the 1,600 meters in 4:25.74, ranking No. 11 in the state.

Robert Labarbera, Minisink Valley​


The senior won the 400 meters in 48.10 seconds at the Red Raider Relays on April 17, ranking No. 1 in the state. He ran the 100 meters in 10.81 seconds at Red Raider Relays on April 18, ranking No. 7 in state.

Jaden Robertson, Pine Bush​


The senior won the 400 hurdles in 57.19 seconds in a dual meet with Newburgh on April 21, ranking No. 13 in the state.

Jackson St. Lawrence, Goshen​


The junior won the 1,600 meters in 4:26.44 at the Trotters Carnival on April 18, ranking No. 14 in the state.

Ilunga Salerno, Cornwall​


The senior won the 110 hurdles in 14.65 seconds at the Red Raider Relays on April 18, ranking No. 5 in the state.

Owen Shaffer-Sermini, Rondout Valley​


The senior was runner-up at 1,600 meters at the Gander Invitational on April 17, ranking No. 24 in the state.

Cameron Snyder, Washingtonville​


The senior ran the 200 meters in 21.93 seconds at the New York Relays on April 17, ranking No. 8 in the state. He ran the 100 meters in 10.94 seconds in dual-meet win over Goshen on April 14, ranking No. 14 in state.

He was runner-up in the 2K steeplechase in 6:35.82 at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11.

Nicholas Doran, Monroe-Woodbury​


He won the 2K steeplechase in 6:27.76 at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11.

Ojani Rodriguez, Washingtonville​


He was fourth in the 400 hurdles in 60.10 seconds at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11.

Luke Beattie, Warwick​


The senior won the pole vault at 17 feet at the Gander Invitational on April 17, ranking first in the state.

Roman D’Alfonso, Newburgh​


The senior threw the hammer 203 feet, 4 inches at the New York Relays on April 17, ranking No. 5 in the state.

Keegan Lennon, Valley Central​


The junior threw the hammer 149 feet, 6 inches at the Trotters Carnival on April 18, ranking No. 18 in the state.

Justin Reich, Monroe-Woodbury​


The junior threw the discus 152 feet at the Gander Invitational on April 18, ranking No. 19 in the state.

Owen Vallinino, Cornwall​


The sophomore cleared 13 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault at the Red Raider Relays on April 17, ranking No. 11 in the state.

Logan Willems, Goshen​


The senior cleared 13 feet, 7 inches in the pole vault in an April 14 dual meet with Washingtonville, ranking No. 9 in the state.

Mason Birdsell, Wallkill​


The senior cleared 43 feet, 7 inches in the triple jump to place third at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11, ranking No. 25 in the state.

Logan Cohen, Minisink Valley​


He threw the javelin 105 feet, 6 inches to place third at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11.

Jack Fowler, Pine Bush​


The senior cleared 6 feet, 4 inches in the high jump to win the Green Dragon Relays on April 11, ranking No. 12 in the state.

Kane Poje, Tri-Valley​


The junior threw the discus 154 feet, 9 inches to win at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11, ranking No. 15 in the state. In same meet, he won the shot put at 53 feet, 2 inches.

Jeron Underwood, Newburgh​


He was runner-up in the long jump at 21 feet, 3.5 inches at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11.

Kenixander Vermenton, Washingtonville​


He was runner-up in the high jump at 6 feet at the Green Dragon Relays on April 11. In same meet he was fifth in the long jump at 20-10.
