Archbishop Williams softball player Faith Giglio has been voted the South Shore High School Female Athlete of the Week.

Giglio received over 16,000 votes to earn the honor. She hit two home runs, doubled, drove in 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs in the Bishops' 18-7 win over Bishop Fenwick.

And this week's candidates are...


Caroline McGraw, Plymouth North lacrosse​


McGraw scored 5 goals for the Blue Eagles in a 12-7 victory over Barnstable.

Avy Thompson, Duxbury softball​


Thompson went 5-for-5 with a pair of home runs in a 15-3 win over Norwell.

Jill Ondrick, Weymouth softball​


Ondrick hit 2 home runs and had 6 RBIs in a 12-2 win over Notre Dame Academy. She also eclipsed the milestone of 50 career homers.

Madison Adams, Marshfield softball​


Adams drove out a 3-run home run in a 12-2 win over Abington.

Zahria Daley, Milton softball​


In a 14-4 win over Framingham, Daley earned the win in the circle, and was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and 2 RBIs, as the Wildcats clinched a Div. 2 tournament berth.

Maeve Maroney, Hingham lacrosse​


Maroney totaled 10 points in a marquee 17-14 win over Concord-Carlisle.

Megan Arseneau, Silver Lake softball​


Arseneau went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs in a 15-2 win over Hingham.

Lila Flaherty, Hanover softball​


The freshman's first career hit was a home run in a 12-7 loss to Cohasset.

Allison Flynn, Archbishop Williams track & field​


Flynn won the 100m hurdles :)17.73), long jump (15-11) and high jump (4-10) in the Bishops' win over Bishop Fenwick and Arlington Catholic.

Our player of the week stories are meant as a way to highlight local high school athletes in the area. Making the list is an achievement in itself. Congratulations to all our athletes.
