The winner of last week’s Girls Athlete of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Briarose Aspden. She had more than 2,000 votes (85%) to receive the honor.
In three games, Aspden had a combined 5 goals and 2 assists.
Previous winners were Old Rochester’s Caroline Houdelette, Fairhaven’s Briarose Aspden, GNB Voc-Tech’s Zoey Chase and Bishop Stang’s A’mya Acevedo.
Each week during the regular season, we will highlight the top performances.

GIRLS TRACK
Cowles was second in the 800 with a season-best 2:19.75 at the South Shore Twilight Invitational. She also came in second in the 800 at the South Coast Conference championship.
Killion won the mile at the South Coast Conference championship meet.
Against Somerset Berkley, Milhench won the mile and 2-mile. She also took second in the 2-mile at the SCC meet.
At the South Coast Conference championship meet, Patraiko won the javelin. She also won the javelin against Somerset Berkley.
Post won the 400 hurdles and took third in the 400 at the South Coast Conference championship meet. She also won the 400 hurdles and 400 against Somerset Berkley.
Perry took third in the discus and fourth in the shot put at the Mayflower Athletic Conference championship meet.
GIRLS TENNIS
Pavao won her first singles matches against Case and Dighton-Rehoboth.
Johnson won her first singles match against Archbishop Williams to finish the season undefeated.
Taradash won her first singles matches against Durfee and New Bedford.
Matos won her first singles matches against Dighton-Rehoboth, Bourne and Wareham to finish the season 17-0.
Houdelette won her second singles matches against Dighton-Rehoboth, Bourne and Wareham to complete a 17-0 regular season.
Hebert won her third singles matches against Dighton-Rehoboth, Bourne and Wareham to go 14-0 this year.
Statkus won her first singles match against Middleboro.

GIRLS LACROSSE
In a win over Dighton-Rehoboth, Levrault had a team-high 7 goals.
In a pair of games against Dighton-Rehoboth and Seekonk, Smith had a combined 19 saves.
Araujo had a combined 5 goals, 4 assists and 16 draw controls in two games.
In two games, Morgan had a combined 5 goals, 1 assist and 5 draw controls.
In two games, Gangi had a combined 3 goals, 11 assists and 8 draw controls.
Smith had a combined 13 goals, 1 assist and 9 draw controls in a pair of wins.
In the second game of the week against Old Rochester, Aspden had 2 goals and 3 assists.
In two games, Lewis had a combined 3 goals and 3 assists.
Souza had a combined 4 goals in two games.
In two games, Cook had a combined 2 goals, including the 100th of her career.
Kilpatrick had a combined 4 goals in a pair of games against Fairhaven.
Lafountain had a team-high 3 goals in the first game of the week against Fairhaven.
