Nipmuc baseball player Cole McGovern was voted the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for May 4-10. He struck out six batters and allowed six hits in a shutout, as the Warriors beat Hopedale 5-0.
McGovern received 47.92 percent of the nearly 2,500 votes. He beat out Holliston's Kyle Fetrow (26.98 percent).
Now we turnour attention to this week's top performers and the nominees for the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week for May 11-17:
Christopher Albert, Natick boys track & field: Cleared 13 feet to win the pole vault at the MSTCA Coaches Metro Invitational
Niko Andrews, AMSA lacrosse: Piled up six goals and four assists in a 14-3 win against Wayland. Contributed a hat trick and two assists aaginst BVT. Put away five goals and one assist, recording the 100th point of his career in a 14-5 win against Auburn.
Brody Barrett, Millis baseball: Punched out 13 batters and didn't allow an earned run in a 4-1 win over Dover-Sherborn on Friday.
Finn Bell, Wayland volleyball: Hammered home 24 kills with four blocks in a 3-1 win over Natick. Added 17 kills against Agawam and had 19 to beat Cambridge RIndge & Latin.
Max Bonavire, Natick baseball: Threw five innings to earn the win in relief with eight strikeouts against just two hits and one run in a 5-4 victory against Newton North over eight innings.

Joe Brent & Brady Sacca, Assabet Valley lacrosse: They each scored four times in a 19-3 win over Worcester.
Evan Dasilva, Nipmuc baseball: Tripled with four RBIs on a 2-for-3 day in a 12-2 victory over St. Paul.
Luke Dratch, Natick volleyball: Pushed out 36 assists with 4 kills and 2 blocks in a 3-0 win over Newton North.
Ant Ficco, Franklin baseball: Threw a shutout, allowing just five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in a 1-0 win against Oliver Ames.
Simon Fletcher, Lincoln-Sudbury baseball: Allowed just four hits and a run in a complete game win over Wayland, striking out nine in the 4-1 victory at Polar Park in Worcester.
Noah Flippin, Holliston lacrosse: Put away two goals including the winner in double overtime, as the Panthers beat Norwood 5-4.
Cullen Forde, Holliston baseball: Allowed just three hits and two walks, striking out five in a shutout, as Holliston beat Dedham 3-0
Zach Forjette, Westborough tennis: Rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 No. 2 singles win over Eric Shang in a 4-1 victory against Wellesley.
Max Gaudetten, Hudson boys lacrosse: Amassed nine points with six goals and three assists in a 12-4 in against Blackstone Valley Tech.
Dylan Hosein & Casey Paek, Westborough track & field: They each brought home District E Division 1 titles for the Rangers on Saturday. Hosein cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault, and Peak was first in the discus (124-4).
Connor Kelly, Hudson lacrosse: Notched six points with three goals and three assists in a 13-6 win over Shepherd Hill.

Sawyer Kittredge, Westborough baseball: Dropped in four hits, including a double, and had two RBIs in a 9-2 win over Algonquin.
Ryan Lang, Hopkinton baseball: Had two hits and three RBIs in an 8-7 win against Westwood.
Oliver Lareau, Ashland baseball: Had three hits, including two doubles, two RBIs and two runs in a 12-1 win over Holliston.

Mason Lee, Wayland volleyball: Pulled up 33 digs in a 3-1 win over Agawam.
Ari Levine, Hopedale track & field: Was named the field athlete of the meet at the MSTCA Coaches Metro Invitational on Saturday. He won the discus at 161 feet, 3 inches, placed second in the shot put (52-10) and was fifth in the hammer throw (140-02).
Matt Lotti, Hopkinton lacrosse: Put away four goals, including the 100th of his career, in a 14-1 victory over Ashland. Added a hat trick and an assist vs. Minnechaug.
Chaco Lozano, AMSA lacrosse: Scored six times with an assist in a 14-5 win over Blackstone Valley Tech that clinched the CMAC A championship for the Eagles. Contributed four assists and two goals against Wayland. Had four goals and two assists against Auburn.

Jack Marino, Blackstone Valley Tech baseball: Crushed a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th to help the Beavers take down Uxbridge 5-4. Marino went 4-for-6 with a double and two RBIs for the Beavers. Was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and four runs in a 15-3 win over St. Paul.

Dylan Maw, Tri-County baseball: Threw a three-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Southeastern.
Gavin Metcalf, Nipmuc baseball: Had three RBIs, singled, doubled and stole two bases in an 11-5 win against Northbridge.
Jude Moffitt, Milford volleyball: Picked up 12 digs and added five aces in a 3-0 win over Taunton.
Nathan Montville, Hopedale baseball: Threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Bay Path. Montville also went 2-for-2 at the plate for the Blue Raiders.
Anthony Moura, Hudson baseball: Threw a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts in a 5-0 win against Oakmont.

Zach O'Donnell, Wayland volleyball: Contributed 43 assists and eight kills in a 3-1 win over Cambridge Ringe & Latin that secured the Dual County League Championship for the Warriors. Pushed out 49 assists against Agawam and distributed 42 assists against Natick.
Jack O'Grady, Wellesley baseball: Struck out 10 batters and allowed just three hits in a 5-0 win against Algonquin. O'Grady also had two hits.
Patrick O'Neill, Tri-County track & field: Led the Cougars to the MVADA team state championship with three medal finishes. O'Neill was second in the 110 hurdles (15.86) and third in the high jump (5-8) and triple jump (40-9).
Sean Parlon, Tri-County lacrosse: Saved 12 shots in a 10-8 win against Upper Cape Tech.
Trevor Petty, AMSA baseball: Had a game-winning RBI single in the top of the eighth inning that secured a 6-5 win at Hopedale.

Ryan Poirier, Nipmuc baseball: Doubled twice with six RBIs on a 4-for-4 day in a 25-4 win over Bay Path.
Hesrick Richards, Bellingham volleyball: Produced 18 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks in a 3-0 win over Westwood.
Joey Secatore, Keefe Tech baseball: Was 2-for-3 with a double, four steals and three runs in a 10-1 win over Worcester Tech. Seccatore also threw a complete game and allowed just four hits and one unearned run for the Broncos.
Sumair Singh, Marlborough tennis: He picked up two wins against Michael Ettamarna in two victories over Sutton 3-2 and 4-1. Singh prevailed 8-3 and 7-7 (7-5) at No. 1 singles.
Nate Spinale, Hopkinton lacrosse: Stopped 16 shots in a narrow 8-5 win over Minnechaug. Aided in a shutout performance against Dedham.
Kellan Taccini, Franklin lacrosse: Scored four goals in a 15-2 win against Sharon.
James Winders, Framingham baseball: Had a hit and an RBI in a 3-2 win over Natick and threw two hitless innings of shutout relief to earn the victory on the mound, striking out four and walking one.
Joseph Zahner, Tri-County baseball: Dropped in a walk off hit to score Noah Roche and clinch an 8-7 victory against Westport.
