The winner of last week’s Boys Athlete of the Week poll was Old Colony’s Rowan Caulkins. He had more than 1,000 votes (61%) to receive the honor.

Caulkins had 3 goals in a loss to Middleboro.

Previous winners were New Bedford’s Jonah Wahnon and Old Rochester’s Chase DeMello.

The winner of the Preseason Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year poll was New Bedford’s Logan Alves with more than 38,000 votes (44%). The winner of the Preseason Boys Volleyball Player of the Year poll was GNB Voc-Tech’s Chace Garcia with more than 3,000 votes (55%).

Each week during the regular season, we will highlight the top performances.

Here’s your chance to vote for the top high school boys athlete performance from the past week.

BOYS TRACK

Henry Berry, Old Rochester​


Berry won the long jump (21-7) at the Mercury Games Invitational and took sixth in the triple jump (39-7) to be named the Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet.

Ryan Calderone, Old Rochester​


Calderone won the 400 hurdles (57.72) at the Mercury Games Invitational.

Jacob Gear, Old Rochester​


Gear came in second in the javelin (150-6) at the Mercury Games Invitational.

Malik Washburn, Old Rochester​


At the Mercury Games Invitational, Washburn won the 110 hurdles with a school-record time of 14.31 seconds, which ranks No. 1 in the state. He also placed second in the triple jump, tying his own school record of 43-10.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Chace Garcia, GNB Voc-Tech​


Garcia had 19 assists in a win over Silver Lake.

Mateo Paquette, GNB Voc-Tech​


Against Silver Lake, Paquette had a team-high 8 kills.

Evan Dupras, Apponequet​


Dupras scored a team-high 3 goals in a win over Dighton-Rehoboth.

Joe Procaccini, Apponequet​


Against Dighton-Rehoboth, Procaccini had 2 goals and 2 assists.

Gavin Herman, Fairhaven​


Herman had 2 goals and 3 assists in a win over Somerset Berkley.

Liam Pickup, Fairhaven​


Against Somerset Berkley, Pickup had 3 goals.

Hunter Johnson, Old Rochester​


Against Bourne, Johnson had a team-high 2 goals.

Alex Hu, Fairhaven​


Hu won his first singles match against Case.

Noah Petruski, Fairhaven​


Petruski won his second singles matches against Old Rochester and Case.

doCanto won his third singles match against Bourne.
