Whether you're lounging on a beach or enjoying a staycation over Spring Break it's time to vote for the IU Health Herald-Times Readers Choice Boys Basketball Player of the Year in our latest poll.

Congratulations to the winner of our girls basketball poll, Bloomington South's Violet Hall, who received 7,727 votes (64 percent), to top Owen Valley freshman Kendall Freeman (28 percent)

Reader may vote as much as they like until the poll closes Friday, March 20 at noon. Here are this year's nominees:

Jack Clark, South, Sr. G​


Panthers' leading scorer at 17.1 points per game while shooting at incredible 63.6% from the field, including 57% at the 3-point line (48-of-84) and 90.2% at the foul line (92-of-102). Also averaged 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists with 24 steals. Will play at Wabash.

Duncan Combs, South, Jr. F​


Could score all over the floor averaging 15 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Shot 54% from the floor and 36% from the 3-point line and 74% at the free-throw line. Had a team high 23 blocks.

Derrick Cross, North, Jr. G​


Leading scorer and rebounder for Cougars at 19.4 points and 5.6 boards per game while also piling up 3 assists and 2 steals per game. Shot 45% from the floor and 45% from the 3-point line (68-of-150) and 78% at the line (90-of-116). Had 12 games of 20 or more points with a high of 33.

Noah Hall, Owen Valley, Sr. G​


One of two seniors in the lineup for the Patriots, averaged 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and a steal per game. Shot 41% from the field and 30% from the 3-point line.

Kyan Hudson, Eastern Greene, So. G​


Second leading scorer and rebounder at 15 points and 4.6 boards per game with 3.8 assists and team best 1.4 steals. Shot 42% from the floor while hitting at a 41% rate from the arc (61-of-149) and 75% at the line (55-of-73).

Aiden Jones, Lighthouse Christian, Jr. G​


Leading scorer for the Lions at 18.3 points and second leading rebounder at 6.2 per game. Shot 49% from the field and 66% at the line (80-of-122). Had 13 blocks.

Caden Jones, Edgewood, Jr. F​


Averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game to lead the Mustangs in each of those categories. Hit on 38% of his 3-pointers (sinking over 50) and 42% overall from the field while knocking down 73% at the line. Missed sectional due to injury.

Timothy Lautenbach, Lighthouse Christian, So. F​


At 6-foot-7, racked up several double-doubles while averaging 12.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game (4.4 on the offensive end). Had 19 blocks. Shot 50.7% from the floor and 40.5% from the 3-point line (15-of-370.

Levi Lindeman, North, Jr. F​


Second in scoring and rebounding for Cougars at 13 points and 5.5 boards per game. Shot 45% from the field and 63% at the line.

Joey Richardson, Owen Valley, So. G​


Led the team in scoring at 9 points per game while grabbing 3.5 rebounds. Shot 29% from the 3-point line and 64% from the free-throw line.

Reece Roberts, Edgewood, Sr. G​


Played a bigger role this year for the Mustangs, averaging 8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game along with 2.2 assists. Shot over 70% at the line and just under 40% from the floor.

Coby Sykes, Eastern Greene, Jr. G​


Area's leading scorer at 20.0 points per game also averaged team high 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game along with 1.3 steals. Shot 48% from the floor and 40% from the 3-point line (49-of-121) while hitting 84% from the line (80-of-95). Topped 1,000-points for his career this season.
