After another wild week of the high school softball season, it's time to look back on the top team performances.

Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the HSS North Jersey Team of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Mackenzie Alesso, Westwood​


In a pair of games this week, the senior proved to be a tough out. She went 6-7 with three runs scored and three RBIs and a double.

Kaelyn Brown, DePaul​


Brown came up big for the Spartans in their run towards a third straight Passaic County title. She had a ground rule double and a run scored in the semis against Pompton Lakes, then belted a first-inning homer and scored three runs in the final against Passaic Valley.

Isabella Buccheri, North Arlington​


The Vikings put themselves in contention for the league title with three wins with Buccheri going 8-13 at the dish with eight RBI, five runs scored and a homer.

Brooke Donofrio, Ramsey​


Donofrio matched a season high with 20 strikeouts in the Rams Bergen County quarterfinal win over Midland Park, handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.

Leah English, IHA​


In her last three games for the Blue Eagles, English was 5-8 at the plate with five RBIs, a double and home runs in three straight games.

Sophia Savino, Old Tappan​


In two Bergen County Tournament games, Savino carried the Golden Knights to the semifinals, going 4-9 at the plate, with three runs scored, five RBIs and a homer.

Samantha Weston, Midland Park​


The senior captain/outfielder helped Midland Park stay unbeaten until Sunday, driving in both runs in a win over Butler, and a triple and two more RBIs in a win over Mahwah. She’s batting over .400 for the season.

Melody Zuniga, Lodi​


The Rams have won six of their last seven games. In four games last week, Zuniga was 9-14 at the plate, scored nine runs and stole four bases.
