We start each week of the season with a quick look back to spotlight the standout performances of the previous week. The process begins with coaches sending in nominations for the lohud Boys Lacrosse Player of the Week. I'll narrow the field each Monday and list the finalists. You'll vote and vote and vote and the winner gets five minutes of fame on our social media accounts.
The poll closes at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6.

The junior midfielder had two goals and three assists in an 11-7 win over North Rockland and two goals and four assists in a 12-8 loss to Greeley.
The senior attackman helped the Panthers lock down three wins, getting four goals and two assists against Westlake, five goals and three assists against Byram Hills and five goals and two assists against Hen Hud.
The senior attackman accumulated four goals and one assist in a 14-12 win over Putnam Valley and three goals and four assists in a 17-12 loss to Pleasantville.
The eighth-grade attackman had two goals and three assists in a 16-2 win over Haldane and three goals and one assist in a 9-6 win over Plainedge.
The senior attackman surpassed 300 career points, getting seven goals and two assists in a 15-8 win over Nanuet and five goals and three assists in a 14-4 win over Dobbs Ferry.
The senior attackman reached 200 career goals last week. He delivered two goals in a 17-5 loss to Chaminade, five goals and three assists in a 21-7 win over Fordham Prep, four goals and one assist in a 14-10 win over Salesianum (Delaware) and five goals in a 14-4 win over Bronxville.
The senior goalie made 11 saves during a 15-4 win over Hastings and is up to 211 stops (.687) on the season.
The junior goalie made 11 saves in a 12-8 win over Tappan Zee, 12 saves in a 9-8 loss to Yorktown and 14 saves in a 9-7 win over John Jay-Cross River.
The sophomore midfielder netted a pair of goals in a 14-8 loss to Scarsdale and got three goals and two assists in a 12-9 loss to Putnam Valley.
