Von Miller seemingly regrets the decision he made the last time he was a free agent.
Last year, Miller (who was interested in potentially returning to the Denver Broncos) ultimately accepted a one-year offer from the Washington Commandersover an offer from the Seattle Seahawks.
The Commanders went on to miss the playoffs with a 5-12 record. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl.
"Obviously, I picked the wrong team on that one," Miller said during a recent appearance on the "89" podcast with Steve Smith and James Palmer.
Miller, 37, totaled nine sacks with DC last season. Had he picked Seattle instead, the veteran pass rusher could have won a third title.
"It would have been three teams, three different teams with three Super Bowls," Miller said of what could have been. "But that’s just how it’s supposed to be."
One year after he picked the "wrong team" in 2025, Miller is now a free agent once again. He has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to Denver, where his NFL career began, but the Broncos don't appear to have room for him. Another potential landing spot could be his home state of Texas — Miller took to Instagram earlier this week with a Photoshopped image of himself in a Dallas Cowboys uniform. (That was just days after Miller told RJ Ochoa that he'd love to play for the Cowboys.)
Miller has often teased fans with hypothetical social media posts that don't lead to actual news, so the Cowboys angle should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt. Miller is still a productive rotational pass rusher, though, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him find an NFL home ahead of the 2026 campaign.
