The Minnesota Vikings are always looking to set a tone on both sides of the ball. On offense, Kevin O'Connell sets the tone with their playcalling and being able to create big chunk plays in the passing attack. On defense, they lean on the playcalling from Brian Flores to overwhelm opposing quarterbacks.
It all starts with the work in the trenches and being physical, without that, they can achieve nothing, nor do they want to play any other way. On Wednesday, their head coach shared what the mindset is going to be for the team during camp and how they plan to approach things.
O'Connell explained, "It's gonna be a physical camp. We want to really build our team a certain kind of way. We have enough experience now, I know the type of team we need to build and the improvements we need to make."
The Vikings are coming into the 2026 season with a chip on their shoulders after a tough 2025 season. They need to come out firing on all cylinders, and going through a tough camp has them prepared for that in the eyes of this coaching staff.
