Max Brosmer earned his first NFL win as a starting quarterback on Christmas.

The Minnesota Vikings' undrafted rookie QB did it in a way that's never been done before.

And in full honesty, it's not just for a first win that this has never happened before. It's for any quarterback win ever.

Never before had a QB thrown for fewer than 70 yards, taken seven or more sacks and still won the football game, according to OptaStats for any quarterback who played the entire game.

Max Brosmer is the only NFL QB in the Super Bowl era to play the entire game and finish with under 70 passing yards and 7+ sacks and yet still win. pic.twitter.com/PAJ71v695X

Brosmer completed 9-for-16 passes for 51 yards.

He took seven sacks for 48 yards.

So that's a net passing yardage of 3 yards.

The Vikings benefited from six Lions turnovers. They also got a 65-yard rushing touchdown from wide receiver Jordan Addison.

Brosmer probably won't ever forget this Christmas. But he also will probably have mostly fond memories of his defense making plays.

Minnesota will hope Brosmer eventually puts his passing skill together better than this.

For now, the Vikings will take the win however they can get it.
