Viking Motorsports made history in the NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at Sonoma Raceway. For the first time in the organization's history, Viking Motorsports earned a double top-5 finish in NASCAR. Anthony Alfredo finished in fourth place while Parker Retlzaff came home in fifth place.
This came after Joe Gibbs Racing driver Taylor Gray ran out of gas on the final lap, putting Retzlaff into the top 5 spots. Over the last two weeks, Viking Motorsports has shocked the NASCAR world. The team has been very fast on the road courses in the O'Reilly Series.
Retzlaff and Alfredo have been an amazing duo at Viking Motorsports, and the speed isn't going away anytime soon. While Alfredo is unlikely to make the Chase, Retzlaff is in a great position in ninth place. There will be more success ahead, but Saturday's race at Sonoma was a historic one for Viking Motorsports.
