Lamine Yamal scored his first career hat-trick as Barcelona beat Villarreal 4-1 at Camp Nou on Saturday in La Liga.
A night to remember for Yamal
Lamine Yamal enjoyed one of the most special nights of his young career on Saturday 28 February 2026. The 18 year-old winger delivered a stunning performance by scoring three goal in Barcelona’s 4-1 win over Villarreal, in match coached by Hansi Flick.
It was Yamal’s first hat-trick since joining the senior team during the 2023 /24 season marking major individual milestone.
An emotional moment after the final whistle
The goals were not the only highlight of the night. After the match, Yamal was seen holding the match ball before sharing a moving embrace with his mother in the stands.
The moment stood out as one of the most emotional scenes of the evening. Yamal exchanged a few words with her as they hugged, with clear joy on both faces.
The young star is known to share a very close bond with his mother, his father Mounir Nasraoui, and his paternal grandmother, despite his parents’ separation years ago.
