Yeah I have Rondale in my fantasy team when that play happened I thought it was going for a TD but then the WR blocks didn't happen. Still a great play D Hop his initial block is bad the guy gets right off it but Rondale makes him miss. D Hop to his credit throws a block downfield that helps but AJ is standing facing the wrong direction trying to figure out who to block. I think him getting a couple of penalties on similar plays this year probably concerned him but he didn't make any contact at all.

Still think before the year is up Rondale is going to break a punt return, last couple of games he has had some duds but he's also had some wow that was close.

Yea if Kirk blocks it better its a TD. I still think he had a shot if he didnt cut back. Maybe still outruns him.

Yep I said D Hop missed the first block it's actually Kirk, he makes Kirk's man miss and then D Hop doing everything he can to avoid a block in the back helps him upfield.

Thats actually AJ Green not Hop on the right.

More I watch the play its still a TD i he catches it with his hands. He sort of jumps up and catches it with his body. Just that split second cost him. If he cleanly catches that with his hands he takes it for a TD even if the block isnt great.

Not the best monitor at work. Watched it again. D Hop is on the left so not involved. The missed block is Kirk, that's the guy whose man Rondale has to make miss. Kirk recovers and blocks downfield. Green just moves downfield without actually touching anybody at one point turning around to make sure he doesn't block anybody in the back.

Note the reason he just doesn't keep going straight forward is the guy Kirk missed, I think it's 37, he has an angle so Rondale has to make him miss by which point people inside have taken away the lane straight to the endzone so Rondale now just goes right to the corner.

In theory if Kirk seals 37(?) with the initial block it's either a TD or a long gainer because Rondale would have put the jets on so someone from his left on defense would have had to catch him.

Really well designed play though, in fact if Kirk makes that block Green is in position downfield to help if anybody coming from Rondale's left gets close.

But again Kirk does recover and throws a block that gets him extra yards at the end so he didn't just give up

Ertz wasnt on the field on that play, and Hop was on the opposite side of the field

Also: watch the back side of that play: a swing/screen to Edmonds. I wonder is this is a read K1 makes on which side to go to

I wouldn't say that is all that creative. Rondale makes it look fancy by his spin move and actually going up field a yard or two before getting the screen.

It’s basically a bubble screen except 2 yards past the LOS instead of behind it.

Hop comes wide open for the TD a half sec after Kyler fires the pass. It seems like guys are wide open a lot in this offense
