UFC lightweight Michael Chandler tipped the scale at 155.6 for his “Freedom 250” fight against Mauricio Ruffy earlier this month at the White House. Two weeks later, “Iron” recorded a random weight check that revealed a staggering 40-pound weight gain.

“We are two weeks post fight,” Chandler said on Instagram. “We are gonna do a weight check. This is exactly what I weighed in at, except it was 40 pounds less. I weighed 155.6 pounds, now I’m 195.6 pounds. Let’s go! See you at the top!”

Fans were less than kind in the comment section, telling Chandler, “see you at the bottom.”

Chandler, now 40, dropped to 23-11 after his first-round technical knockout loss to Ruffy at UFC White House, marking his fourth straight defeat. “Iron” has always been a team player and unabashed company man (for better or worse) but sooner or later he’s going to need a victory to stay employed.
