San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama will travel with the team for Games 3 and 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

ESPN's Shams Charania shared the news via X.

"I'm told Victor Wembanyama was able to participate in cardio work here late Wednesday because his symptoms didn't worsen," Charania said on Wednesday. "He wasn't feeling worse than he did when he suffered that concussion … He is hopeful that he'll be able to travel with the team to Portland on Thursday, but whether he's able to clear concussion protocol in time to play in Game 3 on Friday in Portland is an obvious question and jeopardy for the Spurs."

Wembanyama suffered a brutal fall in Game 2 against the Blazers. He went down headfirst as he was driving towards the basket. The Frenchman was down for a minute before he got back up on his feet and headed for the locker room.

The 22-year-old was ultimately ruled out of the contest due to a concussion.

Wembanyama was held to 12 minutes in Tuesday's contest. He must have at least 48 hours of inactivity and will need to meet certain prerequisites before he's cleared for participation.

The MVP candidate will certainly be on the injury report ahead of Game 3 on Friday.

San Antonio faces tough road test ahead

The Spurs will head to the Pacific Northwest for Games 3 and 4 with the series tied at 1-1.

San Antonio had a great chance to protect home court; however, it was the Blazers that took advantage of the Spurs without the former No. 1 overall pick and were better down the stretch of the contest.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm PT.
