Vape or prank? Fans divided over Yuzvendra Chahal viral clip of 'vaping' in flight

Yuzvendra Chahal is receiving mixed reactions on social media after landing in controversy over an alleged vaping clip that surfaced online from a team travel vlog.

Punjab Kings were travelling to Hyderabad for their IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 6 when the incident took place. During the journey, pacer Arshdeep Singh, known for sharing humorous behind-the-scenes travel content on his YouTube channel, uploaded a vlog featuring several PBKS players.


In the video, Chahal was seated by the window alongside teammate Shashank Singh. While the original uploaded version alleged contained footage appearing to show Chahal vaping during the flight, the revised version currently available on Arshdeep’s YouTube channel no longer includes that portion. However, the removed clip has since gone viral across social media platforms, sparking widespread reactions and criticism online.

While some fans defended Yuzvendra Chahal, claiming the object seen in the viral clip was merely a spray and that he was joking in front of the camera, others heavily trolled the spinner, insisting it appeared to be a real vape.
