These are the players I love in this draft for each of the rounds...and I am including a trade for Anquan Boldin with the Dolphins where the Cardinals get their 2nd and 6th round picks in exchange. In addition I am counting on the Cardinals getting a 7th round compensatory pick. If they don't count my last choice as a UCFA.

1. Brandon Graham, OLB/DE, Michigan. He becomes the LaMarr Woodley of the Red Curtain.

2a. Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise St. Boise State kids really know how to shine at the U of P and this kid could make our secondary special and would be the punt returner deluxe.

2b. Darryl Washington, ILB, TCU. His blend of speed, sure tackling and athleticism could re-define the WILB position for the Cardinals.

3. Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona. Local standout would be a fan favorite and one heck of a downfield target with RAC ability.

4. Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas. What a sure-handed quick footed gamer this kid is.

5. Robert Johnson, S, Utah. Has the range and athletic ability to be a very good pro FS.

6a. Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia. Love the quick release and arm strength. Over the top, snappy throwing motion reminds me of McNabb's. Needs strong coaching and he would get the best of it from Whiz.

6b. Dorin Dickerson, FB, Pittsburgh. Tough and athletic. This pick would elate college teammate LSH and TH and Beanie.

7a. Mike Johnson, G, Alabama. Big run blocker. Has a ring!

7b. Mike Kafka, QB, Northwestern. This kid is a spark plug and could be an excellent Wildcat QB option while other aspects of his game are being groomed.

Great draft would sign up for that for sure. Don't think that Washington would be there when we pick in the 2nd round or if Shipley would last till the late 4th but do love the choices. Gronkowski would be a steal in the 3rd but he could be there due to his back problems. I really like Jarrett Brown as a QB development project.

1) Sean Weatherspoon ILB
If we lose Dansby to free agency this guy can fill his spot. Darryl Washington is too light to play ILB in a 3-4. He weighs less than AW.

2) Dan Gronkowski TE
If he's deemed healthy I doubt he makes it throught the second round. An excellent weapon for Leinart.

2) Eric Norwood OLB
This guy can really bring the pass rush.

3) Torrell Troup NT
A big strong guy to groom for NT

4) Myron Lewis CB/FS
He played corner in college but some scouts think he might be a better safety. He sounds like a nice fit in our nickel and dime packages.

5) Sean Canfield QB
A smart QB with good size and adequate arm. All good stuff for Whiz to work with. Plus, he's a lefty like Matt so there's no big adjustments.

6) Joe Pawelek ILB
A hard working lunch pail type LB to groom for Hayes' replacement.

7) Derek Hardman OT
Another late round project for coach Grimm.

If we have a practice squad offensive lineman as our developmental QB we are in big trouble.

Why on earth would we draft a WR in the 4th round after taking a receiving TE in the 3rd round? There just isn't any way we take 6 offensive players.

Arizona — The Cardinals could get a third- or fourth-round pick, or they could get nothing. They lost one player who definitely will qualify and signed one player who definitely will qualify. The question is whether Terrelle Smith will count as a player lost and whether Jason Wright will count as a player signed. At this point, I would project that both of them will qualify based on their contract values, leaving the Cardinals with no comp picks. If Wright qualfies and Smith doesn't, they wouldn't get a comp pick, either. But if Smith qualifies and Wright doesn't, the Cardinals would get a third- or fourth-round pick as compensation for losing Antonio Smith.

This is from AdamJT13 who is probably the best there is at projecting comp picks. Basically we are either getting a 3rd or 4th, or nothing this year. Adjust your draft accordingly.

As for the draft itself, I like the first five rounds. Might want more defense in the last two rounds to address some depth issues.

Weatherspoon isn't that big himself. Some list him 6' 1" 230. That's barely bigger than Taylor Mays.

2) Eric Norwood OLB
This guy can really bring the pass rush.

He's got some skills. He could be a decent situational pass rusher IMO. Seems like he's better fit for Sam than Will LBer, because of coverage deficiencies.

At the senior bowl, Weatherspoon weighed in at 241lbs and Norwood at 246lbs. Darryl Washington weighed in at 226lbs.

Yep Weatherspoon plays at over 240 and Washington actually gained weight to be at 226. Played at under 220 in college. Washington would weigh less then our QB. Washington is without a shadow of a doubt not a 3-4 LB.

I limited myself to only being able to select a player at our draft position or lower on the huddlereports rankings. Meaning I wasn’t able to select a player higher then #26 on their rankings. I know that players can rise or fall so this isn’t exactly the best method but I think it does help with not making a guy fall to us because of bias. Also until it happens or it looks more like ti will happen I didnt include any Boldin trades.

#26 - WILB – Sean Weatherspoon – Tackling machine and good leader. Needs to harness his hyperactivity though. Being active and hyper is good but in his case it can sometimes be his down fall, sometimes you have to slow the game down to be effective and he needs to learn that. (Huddlereport ranking 30th)

#58 - CB – Brandon Ghee – Really knows how to cover the taller WR’s. Could use to put a few pounds on his frame, and could use some better tackling technique (more then willing hard hitter, but doesn’t wrap) (Huddlereport ranking 59th)

#89 – NT – Cam Thomas – Big stocky boy at 6-2, 330. (Huddlereport ranking 116th)

#121 – DE/OLB - Jermaine Cunningham – Easily outworked Carlos Dunlap on the other side of the line. He produced just as well as Dunlap to. (Huddlereport ranking 121th)

#153 – QB – John Skelton – Has all the skills you look for in a huge body. No one has ever put all those skills together though and he has never had to playing against the bad competition he faced. (Huddlereport ranking 169th)

#185 – SILB – Perry Riley – He was a WOLB at LSU but he projects as a SILB in the pro’s IMO. 6-2, 245 lbs and his best attribute is he really enjoys and knows how to attack the line of scrimmage in run support. (Huddlereport ranking 189th)

#217 – The Huddle report only goes up to 200 players right now so I cant really pick a player based on my criteria, so I give this pick to Russ Grimm to pick any OL player he wants to experiment with.

1. Sean Weatherspoon LB (Dansby)

2. Kao Misi OLB Utah (Haggens)

3. Javier Arenas CB/KR Oklahoma (Howling/Breaston)

4. Donald Butler ILB Washington (Hayes)

5. Linval Joseph NT ECU (Robertson)

6. Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith SS UTEP if one Cromartie is good two must be better and as a golfer it would be cool to yell "you Da'Mon" at football games.

7. Cole Pemberton OT Colorado State.

Taking Misi at #2 might be overkill but we've lost 2 OLBs and a third is no spring chicken.

I could live with this draft. If we were to add a 2nd round pick for Q and got Gronkowski it would even be better:)

You guys seem sold on Weatherspoon. What do you think about Haggins going back inside ( I think they moved him outside last yr.) to play the WILB spot? I know we'll need a youngster eventually, but to spend a 1st this yr?

I'm a little more concerned about the pass rush right now. Joe I know during the year you posted some players that would fit into the 3/4 as OLB's. Who were the most impressive that you saw play?

My thing with Haggans is that he just turned 33 and this will be his 11th season in the NFL. How much does he have left and with that much wear on the tires could he do the things Whisenhunt asked of Dansby?

That's why I had Misi in my mock draft. Haggens will need to be replaced sooner than later. Could that be why the Cards picked up Baggs?

As to spending a first on Dansby's replacement I had mentioned earlier that all of the top 3-4 WILBs, at least as listed on their team's NFL.com depth chart, were either 1st or 2nd round selections.

Willis, Brooking, D.J. Williamson, Jerod Mayo, Lawrence Timmons and Nick Barnett were all 1st round selections and Dansby and the Jets David Harris were 2nd round selections.

The guys taken in later rounds: Kaluka Maiava, Corey Mays, Brandon Siler, and Akin Ayodele. Not exactly household names. Ayodele btw is the guy Dolphin fans want to replace with Dansby.

Joe had already noted earlier this off season that ILB is one position where a top rookie can come in and play well from day one.

With Cody Brown still around I just don't see the Cards going #1 on another weak side rush LB but you never know. If a guy like Jerry Hughes from TCU was still there at #26 the Cards might take him.

I haven't included any trades as I simply think I might be completely off in my estimation. Also, I've used my own rankings, so some of it may seem odd to some of you.

1. Jerry Hughes, outside linebacker.
This is basically a BPA pick. I don't think Whis and Graves will be targeting a pass rusher this early since they already have Cody Brown and Will Davis. However, Hughes might be too tempting, especially if players like Weatherspoon or Cody are long gone, with I supect they will be.

2. A.J. Edds, inside linebacker.
I think the coaches regret not taking Dansby's replacement in some of the previous years. It kind of force them to do something about it in this draft, even if they bring in some FA veteran. Edds is a highly intellegent players, who might not step right in, but definately could be an asset pretty quick. He's fun to watch as he flies around the entire field.

3. Jerome Murphy, cornerback.
No matter if McFadden is with the team next season or not, they will have to find some sort of solution longterm. Toler could be part of it, but it takes more than just the starters. I think Murphy fits the scheme, as he is a very good cover guy, fast and can be psysical when needed. He's raw though.

4. Dekoda Watson, inside linebacker.
I believe he can play inside in a 3-4. He's very athletic, can drop back into coverage and can play the run pretty good. Some will say that he's too small, but he weight in at the Senior Bowl at 6'1, 232. To compare him to other 3-4 ILB, D'Qwell Jackson is 6'0, 240, D.J. Williams is 6'1, 242, Nick Barnett is 6'2, 236, Jerod Mayo is 6'1, 245, Davis Harris is 6'2, 245, Lawrence Timmons is 6'1, 234 and Stephen Cooper is 6'1, 235.

5. Riley Cooper, wide receiver.
If the team trades Boldin, I think they could easily draft a new WR. Also, if Cooper, or any other rookie, pans out, it would give them great leverage in any future contract talks with Breaston.
I think Cooper had a decent week during Super Bowl. He had his share of failures but he ran some nice routes, had decent hands and got of the line of scrimmage fine.

6. Zac Robinson, quarterback.
Well, I just like him.

7. Brandon Carter, offensive guard.
This could be Grimm's new toy. Nasty lineman.

I know the obvious lack of any OT and NT. I simply couldn't find the value when I compared it with the other prospects, who I think is pretty important too.

I have been pimping this guy for some time. He would be a great pickup in the 5th. Hope he is there. This kid reminds me also of Big Ben.
