Indian teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was back in action against Afghanistan A on Thursday at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
After a brilliant IPL season, where he led Rajasthan Royals to the finals, Sooryavanshi was fast-tracked into the Indian senior team, earning first call-up for the T20I series against Ireland and England.

Before he makes his India debut, he is playing for India A in the tri-series involving Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A teams.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hit top gear once again against Afghanistan, scoring 44 off just 22 balls. The 15-year-old slammed eight fours during his stay at the wicket.
However, he could not convert the start, and was out caught by Ishaq Rahimi off Abdullah Ahmadzai.
The India A vs Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A Tri-Nation series 2026 follows a double round-robin format, where each team plays the other two sides twice.
Each team plays four league matches in the 50-over (List A) format, making a total of six games before the final.
The top two teams on the points table qualify for the final, with points awarded as 2 for a win, 1 for no result, and 0 for a loss.
