the Bears 1st RD #4 pick has a value of 1800 points. The Jets two 1st RD picks have a value of1980. On the surface it would appear that the Bears have made a wise move, based on the point spread itself.......what is more important (if you are a Bears fan) is that you now have 3 of the top 35 picks. To be so lucky. Both teams would have picked Robertson, so it's a wash for us.......unless Dallas swaps with Houston......in which case Dallas would take Robertson and the Jets would be REALLY torn between Johnson and Suggs(I think that they would go with Johnson. The question then is who would Houston take(my guess is Suggs)?

We WILL NOT take Leftwich but under the above scenario,I see us trading with one of the following: the Saints for their two #1's or swapping picks with Baltimore and getting the Raven's 2nd RD pick.

Using JJ's value line however shows an imbalance with the Saints scenario. Our #6=1700 points.....the Saints two #1's=1950. So we'd likely have to throw something else in. Here's where TJ value starts to show.....as a throw in......but ya know, a throw in with some value in this case. Are you confused yet...........

Actually it is not a wash for us because the Jets would have taken a WR late first round. So that means the WR's that we get to choose from in the 2nd round would be a bit better than before the trade. And as far as the trade with the Cardinals and NO the point difference between the Bears trade and ours is only like 70 points so I dont think we would have to throw anything in. Besides I heard that the Jets threw in a conditional pick next year or is that bogus.

Kind of confusing. To be safe, I don't think I'll ask Jimmy Johnson to give me change for a $20.

How does our pick at #6 match up with the Saints?

With the Pats?

(Speaking in terms of their 2 first rounders)

I don't think the Jets threw any other sweetener into their deal. Origionally I heard that they did but the most recent reports do not include additional picks involved.

I said the difference between the trade you mention and the Bears trade is 70. Yes the diff is 250 and the diff of the Bears trade is 180. 250 - 180 is 70.

So we would need to throw in our 3rd for an equal trade?

Our #1 & #3 for NO's 2 #1's ?

I don't like that as much. We need our third for KJ. Maybe they would take a 3rd next year.

Using the value board then it would be our #1 & #3 for NO's two #1's or our #1 & #4 for Baltimore's #1 and #2, but since we can just stay put, I would assume we have the better hand.

I would prefer trading with Baltimore, since two of the four players (Suggs, Trufant, Kennedy & Kevin Williams) we are targeting should be there at #10.
