The WNBA’s popularity has skyrocketed in recent years, but with that, many believe there’s a need for better regulations.

For instance, Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham recently dropped a bombshell interview explaining why it’s ‘common sense’ to keep transgender athletes out of women’s sports.

US Department of Education backs Sophie Cunningham with finger-pointing meme​

Cunningham’s comments went viral and received mixed reactions from fans. Despite receiving backlash from several, Cunningham doubled down on her statement about protecting women’s sports.

While the Fever star continues to receive hatred from some, the US Department of Education backed Cunningham with her viral finger-pointing meme on X.


The X handle simply wrote ‘common sense prevails,’ which is enough to show that they stand with Cunningham.

Additionally, the X handle made a slight tweak to the original meme and added a crown on Cunningham’s head in their viral post. At the time of writing, the post is nearing 1 million views on X, as it continues to reach more fans.
