Heading into the 2026 NFL offseason, the New Orleans Saints had lots of work to do to build their team for competing in the NFC South. That was a mix of both offensive and defensive additions, and they kicked things off early with the former, adding Travis Etienne and David Edwards. Kaden Elliss was their replacement for Demario Davis, but Cameron Jordan remains unsigned, and Alontae Taylor has left, so they have work to do still.

Regardless, they also wanted to build around Tyler Shough, giving him as much of a chance to make that sophomore leap as he can. In the 2026 NFL Draft, they did exactly that, selecting two wide receivers and a tight end through Round 4, with Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Oscar Delp. So, here is what the pass-catching rooms look like as of now:

Wide Receivers

  • Chris Olave
  • Jordyn Tyson (Round 1 pick)
  • Devaughn Vele
  • Bryce Lance (Round 4 pick)
  • Bub Means
  • Mason Tipton
  • Ja'Lynn Polk
  • Kevin Austin Jr.
  • Ronnie Bell
  • Trey Palmer
  • Samori Toure
  • Elijah Cooks
  • Damien Alford

Tight Ends

  • Juwan Johnson
  • Noah Fant
  • Oscar Delp (Round 3 pick)
  • Moliki Matavao
  • Zaire Mitchell-Paden
  • Treyton Welch

Overall, this is a clearly improved group compared to 2025, and Shough will have plenty of options to turn to even in the event of injuries, which is exactly what has been needed for this team for a long time. It will be fascinating to see who makes the roster from this large group of options, as the Saints truly focus on giving Kellen Moore plenty of players to build his scheme around.
